Made in Unity for Mobile, using Jira, Figma, Miro, and Asprite.
Created as an 8-month-long school project, Wasted Earth is a mobile shoot-em-up in the vein of retro arcade games. Play as a tiny ship facing an onslaught of bullets. with each near-miss, charge up your grit meter and counter-attack with bombs and bullets.
Project Manager: I was responsible for ensuring deliverables were met to expectations and on time. I employed standups and checked in with group members frequently to maintain the team's pace.
Documentation: I created and updated the team's documents, ensuring everything was easy to find and organized.
Playtests: I designed the playtesting protocols in conjunction with teammates and ran testing sessions with volunteers. Using the data collected, I built graphs to interpret the data.
UI Designer: I designed and tested the project's UI to be appropriate for mobile play and easily readable to the audience.
early in the design process, I spent a lot of time thinking about screen space. It was important that everything was scaled appropriately. I created some mockups of the UI to work out how big things should be.
Using Figma, I created many experimental prototype layouts. They had different strengths and weaknesses, but we were able to narrow it to one design.
